Madonna facing another lawsuit over Celebration Tour

Madonna is facing another lawsuit over her Celebration Tour.
Madonna
The Material Girl hitmaker has been sued by a fan over several complaints, including unwanted exposure to sexual content during her show at California's Kia Forum on 7 March as part of her latest world tour.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, plaintiff Justin Lipeles has filed a lawsuit against Madonna on behalf of himself and everyone else in California who purchased tickets to the concert.

Lipeles has accused the hitmaker and her promoter Live Nation of six counts, including breach of written contract, negligent misrepresentation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false advertising, negligence/negligent infliction of emotional distress and unfair competition.

According to the outlet, Lipeles claimed that Madonna and Live Nation "purposely and deceptively withheld" vital information about the show.

Lipeles said that the lack of information caused him to arrive at the concert hours early, as he expected the show to start at 8.30pm, but Madonna didn't take the stage until after 10pm.

The Like a Prayer singer allegedly ignored fans' complaints about the heat during the show and encouraged them to take their clothes off.

Lipeles also claimed that the singer lip-synced during the show and that the audience was "forced to watch topless women on stage simulating sex acts".

"Forcing consumers to wait hours in hot, uncomfortable arenas and subjecting them to pornography without warning is demonstrative of Madonna's flippant disrespect for her fans," the plaintiff stated.

Lipeles said he and the other concertgoers were entitled to damages for breach of a written contract because of the delayed start time. He is also seeking pre-and post-judgment interest, court costs and reasonable attorneys' fees.

The lawsuit comes shortly after the Queen of Pop was sued by fans after her shows in Washington D.C. and New York City started hours later than scheduled.
