Geri Halliwell feels that she thoroughly 'understands women's bodies'.

The 39-year old singer and mother of five-year-old daughter Bluebell Madonna helped design Next's Spring 2012 lingerie collection.

Geri believes that many women and men will embrace these intimates.

"The line is feminine, flirty and flattering,' Geri told British newspaper The Sun.

"I feel I understand women's bodies. This was my chance to do the sort of underwear for girls that the boys would like too if you know what I mean!"

According to Geri the coquette clothing is very functional. She considered several practical issues during the design process.

"You know what? You can't have the show without the business!" Geri laughed. "Basically, my aim was to make boobs look bigger and bums smaller! So the knicker shapes had to be very flattering too."

Next's new lingerie collection will be available at retail outlets in upcoming months. Geri is currently working on her next album which is slated for release in 2012.
