Beyoncé has spoken about directing and producing the live DVD release of her 'I Am...' world tour.
The R&B superstar took direct control of the DVD release, which incorporates footage from 108 shows in 32 countries across the globe.
"I'm so excited - this is my directorial debut. I am just thrilled that my fans are going to be in the theatre with me and I can't wait for everyone to see it," she told Extra.
"It took me nine months to edit because I wanted to show a little bit of each show, each performance on tour, and it was 116 shows, so you can only imagine how much work it was, but it was worth it."
Beyonce added that she enjoyed the experience of putting together the DVD and reliving her favourite moments from the tour.
"I felt like I've done so many different things, it's time for me to show a bit of who I am," she said.
"The hardest thing was showing that, because a lot of things that I filmed, I filmed in my computer, and I would never have gotten so open if someone else was in the room."
Beyonce's 'I Am... World Tour' is out on November 30.
