The 51-year-old 'Celebration' singer is reportedly going to start trying to conceive with her Brazilian model boyfriend Jesus Luz – who she has been dating for around two years.

A friend of Madonna - who already has four children, Lourdes, 13, Rocco, nine, and adopted Malawian tots David and Mercy, who are both four – told The Sun newspaper: 'She says motherhood is her greatest achievement and the most fulfilling thing in her life.

'She knows that, at 51, it's going to be harder to conceive naturally. But she is Olympic-athlete fit and is ready for the challenge.'

Jesus, 22, is said to be as keen to have a baby as his pop superstar lover.

They said: 'Jesus is very religious and deeply in love with her. He adores her kids but has always wanted a child of his own. He told her fatherhood would be his greatest adventure and that he wanted to go on this journey for her.'

However, Madonna is unlikely to make him her third husband, with Jesus previously saying he was not ready to get married.

He said: 'There's no truth in this rumour. I am too young to get married.'
