The investigation into the death of Michael Jackson has now been completed and Dr. Conrad Murray is now expected to be official charged with involuntary manslaughter over the death of the singer.
The investigation into the death of Michael Jackson has now been completed and Dr. Conrad Murray is now expected to be official charged with involuntary manslaughter over the death of the singer.

Dr Murray has not been officially charged because of the investigation that has taken six months to complete.

The lesser charge of involuntary manslaughter means Dr Conrad will escape the more serious charge of murder.

According to definition, 'involuntary manslaughter is the unlawful killing of a human being without malice aforethought. It is distinguished from voluntary manslaughter by the absence of intention. It is normally divided into two categories; constructive manslaughter and criminally negligent manslaughter'.

Prosecutors will now prepare to seek and indictment of Dr Murray whose treatment of Jackson was considered by the investigation to be 'an extreme departure from the standard of care normally followed by physicians'.

Murray's treatment of Jackson is considered 'gross negligence'.

The procedure now will be to present the case to the district attorney and then Dr Murray will be officially charged.

Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009. He was 50-years old.
