Sugababe Amelle Berrabah has been charged with drink driving.

The 26-year-old pop singer was arrested at 5.30 on Thursday morning after being pulled over in her £300,000 Mercedes in Camden Street, north London. The incident is thought to have occured after an arguement with her boyfriend.

A spokesman for Scotland Yard said she was due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on 8 October charged with driving with excess alcohol.

The 26 year old was last year admitted to rehab for 'severe nervous exhaustion'.

Sugababes, which also feature singers Heidi Range and Jade Ewan, have had a string of hit singles.

The star, 26, who was admitted to rehab last year to be treated for 'severe nervous exhaustion', was behind the wheel of her £300,000 Mercedes when she was pulled over by officers in Camden Street, north London, at 5.23am on Thursday.
